Action: Add him in all redraft formats. Back-to-back quality starts with elevated strikeout totals at 8% ownership is the widest value gap on today's board, and Atlanta's rotation injuries guarantee him the innings.

May Rolling Through Two Milwaukee Starts

Dustin May (19% owned) has been strong since joining the Brewers, allowing three earned runs across 13 innings with 11 strikeouts and five walks over two starts.

Action: Add in 12-plus-team leagues. Milwaukee gives him the best run support and defense he's had in years, and the ratios have followed. He's a priority target in two-start weeks down the stretch.

Greene to the IL with a Hamstring Strain

Riley Greene was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a right hamstring strain. He felt it Tuesday scoring from first on a Spencer Torkelson double, two batters after taking a 92.1 mph Tanner Bibee sinker below the right knee - the hit-by-pitch appears unrelated. He waved off A.J. Hinch and the trainer and ran to first to show he was fine before being pulled.

Hinch found one encouraging sign: "You know how guys grab at their hamstring and hobble? He never hobbled. I'm hopeful that's a very good sign, as opposed to a massive, mid-belly grab and hobble." Detroit selected Corey Julks from Triple-A Toledo and designated Troy Watson for assignment.

Greene had appeared in 117 of Detroit's 119 games, hitting .273/.366/.450 with 16 homers, 54 RBIs and a 129 wRC+. He'd cooled badly since the break, though, hitting .214 in August with three extra-base hits and 12 strikeouts in 28 at-bats. Hinch says the at-bats will be spread among Julks, James Outman, Ben Malgeri, Max Clark and Zach McKinstry.

Action: Hold on an IL slot rather than dropping - Hinch's read on how the injury presented is genuinely encouraging, and Greene is a 129 wRC+ bat when healthy. But plan for three weeks; hamstrings average 27 days with a 20-day median. Don't chase the replacements, since Hinch explicitly called it a committee. Max Clark is the exception, and he was already playing every day.

Adames Aggravates His Back
