It's his third blown save in four chances, and his ERA sits at 11.57 across 14 appearances in the first year of a three-year, $69 million deal. He had elbow surgery to remove loose bodies seven appearances into his Dodgers tenure and missed more than three months.

The key detail for fantasy: Roberts said he's sticking with Díaz, lamenting that the club lacks better options. Asked whether he'd move Díaz out of the ninth to let him find himself, Roberts responded rhetorically. Tanner Scott closed while Díaz was out but the Dodgers prefer him in a versatile late-inning role, and Evan Phillips, Alex Vesia, and Edgardo Henriquez have all been inconsistent. The bullpen's 4.71 ERA since July ranks 23rd.

"It's frustrating because I know my ability," Díaz said. "I know what I can do on the mound. To not be able to do it, it sucks."

The 21-year-old, Cleveland's top prospect and MLB's No. 33 overall, was the 23rd pick in 2023. The complication is the roster: Nathaniel Lowe arrived at the deadline to play first base, with Rhys Hoskins also on hand.

Action: Stash in dynasty immediately, and in deeper redraft if you have bench room. Rosters expand from 26 to 28 in September, and Cleveland has already promoted Travis Bazzana and Angel Genao this season - the precedent for challenging young bats is right there. A club fighting for a playoff spot and starving for offense has an obvious reason to look.

Action: Stream him in ERA and innings formats, but understand what you're getting. Zero strikeouts in a start is a real limitation - he's giving you ratios and volume, not category help in strikeouts.

Buxton Back in the Lineup
