Now the fantasy context the milestone obscures: Scherzer is 2-7 this season, this was his first win since his season-opening start on March 31, and his previous season high in strikeouts was five. At 42, this was a genuine outlier, not a form change.
Action: HOLD only if you're already rostering him in a deep league. Do not add at 3% ownership — one start against a slumping Seattle lineup doesn't reset a 2-7 season.
