Saturday Wire: Bullpen Leverage and a Coors Outfielder Lead Today's Actionable Adds

The May 3 add board is heavy on relievers chasing save chances and a few bats with everyday runway. Here are the three best targets sitting in that sweet 20-65% ownership window.

The waiver wire on May 3 is dominated by bullpen shuffles and injury-return dart throws, but a handful of names in the 20-65% ownership band stand out as genuinely actionable. Closer-of-the-moment relievers and a Coors Field regular headline the list. Skip the high-owned names and the IL stashes — these three can plug into active lineups today.

Lucas Erceg (RP, KC) is 49% owned and the most pressing add of the day. The Kansas City committee is tilting his way, and in a category where saves evaporate fast, getting in front of a closer transition is how you win the week. If your league is even mildly competitive on saves, Erceg is the priority claim before the role hardens and ownership spikes past 70%.

Mickey Moniak (OF, COL) checks in at 56% owned and offers something most waiver bats can't: full-time at-bats in Coors Field. He's a regular in the Rockies' outfield mix, which means HR and R upside baked into the home schedule alone. He won't help your average, but as a streaming OF4/OF5 during Colorado homestands, the ceiling is real and the floor is playing time — a combo you rarely get this far down the wire.

Dillon Dingler (C, DET) sits at 41% owned and is quietly the best two-catcher league pickup on the board. He's getting regular run behind the plate for Detroit with legitimate power upside against right-handers. Catcher is a wasteland most weeks, so a starter with pop and a defined platoon-friendly role is a clear upgrade over the streaming carousel. Prioritize him in 12-team-plus formats with two catcher slots.
