Two-Start SP Rankings: Week of May 4-10, 2026

Skubal and deGrom headline an elite class of two-start aces, while a few low-owned arms offer sneaky streaming value. Here's how to deploy your two-start pitchers this week.

Tier 1: Must-Start Aces

No surprise at the top: Tarik Skubal (99.0% owned) is the week's clear SP1 with two starts and a sub-3.00 ERA pedigree. Lock him in and don't overthink it. Right behind him, Jacob deGrom (99.0% owned) brings ace-level ratios and elite K-upside in two outings for Texas — the second start carries low confidence, but if it holds, he's a top-three option.

Cam Schlittler (97.0% owned) gets high-confidence billing on his first start and has flashed mid-3.00s ERA stuff with strong swing-and-miss; the Yankees offense supports the win equity. Gavin Williams (94.0% owned) rounds out the must-start tier — high-confidence Tuesday outing, premium velocity, and a Cleveland defense that props up his ratios.

Tier 2: Solid Upside

Sandy Alcantara (94.0% owned) is back to looking like a workhorse; two starts at high confidence on his opener push him into clear-start territory even if the ERA still hovers near 4.00. José Soriano (95.0% owned) offers elite groundball rates — the matchup risk is real, but the volume plays. Aaron Nola (64.0% owned) is a strong bounce-back two-start play with high opener confidence; if he's sitting on your wire, grab him. Michael Wacha (66.0% owned) is the safer floor play in this tier — modest K's, decent ratios, two starts in pitcher-friendly spots.

Tier 3: Low-Owned Streamers (Under 30%)

  • Shane Baz (ownership N/A) — High-confidence first start and the best pure stuff of any streamer here. If he's available, he's the priority add of the week.
  • Reynaldo López (18.0% owned) — When healthy, he's posted sub-2.00 ERA stretches. Two starts with a strong Atlanta bullpen behind him makes him a sneaky ratios play.
  • Chris Bassitt (12.0% owned) — Boring but effective. Two starts from a veteran who chews innings and limits damage; perfect for deeper leagues needing quantity without blowing up your WHIP.

Avoid: Eric Lauer (6.0% owned) and A.J. Puk (1.0% owned) — the volume isn't worth the ratio risk in standard formats. Davis Martin (56.0% owned) and Nick Martinez (32.0% owned) are matchup-dependent at best.
