Terms of Use
Last updated: October 14, 2026
These terms cover your use of kodoanalytics.com, Kodo Baseball, Kodo Hockey and the Kodo app (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these terms. If you post comments on a player profile, the Community Guidelines also apply and are part of this agreement.
1. Who we are
Kodo Analytics (“Kodo Analytics,” “Kodo,” “we,” “us”) operates kodoanalytics.com, Kodo Baseball (baseball.kodoanalytics.com), Kodo Hockey (hockey.kodoanalytics.com) and the Kodo app: independent fantasy sports analytics tools, not affiliated with the NHL, MLB or their teams.
2. Accounts
Some features, including connecting a fantasy league, saving preferences and posting comments, require an account. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be old enough to use our authentication provider’s service in your country, and you agree to give us accurate information when asked for it (for example, a display name for comments).
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines, or that we reasonably believe is being used for abuse, fraud or to harm the Services or other users.
3. Comments and other content you post
You keep ownership; we get a license to show it
If you post a comment or other content on the Services, you keep ownership of what you write. By posting, you grant Kodo Analytics a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute that content on and through the Services (for example, showing your comment on a player’s profile to other readers), for as long as the content remains posted and as reasonably needed afterward for backups, legal compliance and dispute resolution.
You confirm that you have the right to post what you submit, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
Prohibited content
You agree not to post content that:
- harasses, threatens, or is abusive toward another person or group;
- is hateful, discriminatory, or targets someone’s identity;
- is sexual in nature, or sexualizes a real person, including a player;
- shares someone else’s private information without their consent (doxxing) - an address, phone number, workplace or similar;
- is spam, an advertisement, or promotes a product, service or channel;
- promotes or solicits betting tips, “guaranteed” picks, or sportsbook referrals;
- contains a link, unless we have said links are allowed in a specific feature;
- impersonates another person, team or organization; or
- is otherwise unlawful.
Blunt opinions and trash talk about a player’s on-ice or on-field performance, their fantasy value, or a team’s decisions are welcome and are not, by themselves, a violation of this section.
AI-assisted moderation and human review
Comments are screened by an automated system (currently Anthropic’s Claude) before they are shown to other readers, and by local filters for obvious spam or prohibited language. The automated system may approve a comment, hold it for the operator to review, or decline to post it. A comment that is held or declined is reviewed by a person. We may also act on a comment after it is posted, including in response to a report from another reader (see section 4).
Automated moderation is not perfect. A comment that should have been allowed may be held or declined, and a comment that should have been held may briefly be visible before a report or review catches it. If you believe a decision about your comment was wrong, you can contact us at b.lands16@gmail.com.
Removal and suspension
We may remove, hide or decline to post any content, and may suspend or close the account that posted it, at our discretion, including for breaking these terms or the Community Guidelines. We try to tell you the reason when a comment of yours is declined, but we are not required to give advance notice before removing content or suspending access.
Reporting and blocking other users
You can report a comment you think breaks these terms, and you can block another commenter so you no longer see their comments. A comment that receives enough reports is automatically held for operator review. Blocking is a personal preference setting; it does not notify the person you blocked and does not remove their comment for anyone else.
Deleting your own comments
You can delete a comment you posted at any time. A deleted comment is removed from the comment list; we may keep a record of it internally for moderation, abuse-prevention and legal purposes.
4. No betting advice
Nothing on the Services, including comments posted by other users, is betting, financial or professional advice. Any mention of odds, lines or betting-related topics is for entertainment and informational purposes only. You are responsible for your own decisions, and for following the laws that apply to you, including any age or location restrictions on sports betting or daily fantasy sports.
5. Disclaimers
The Services, including projections, statistics, articles and any content posted by other users, are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any statistic, projection or comment is accurate or complete. We are not responsible for content posted by other users and do not endorse it.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kodo Analytics and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Services or any content posted on them, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount, if any, you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
7. Changes to the Services and these terms
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
8. Privacy
How we collect, use and share your information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict of law rules, and any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
